Josh Greenwood is a 22-year-old Border Collie raised in Eastern Kentucky, right along the border North of Tennessee, and it was here where he learned how to do things he wish he didn't have to learn. Born to a reclusive, ex-Military father and a mother stuck in a loveless relationship, he spent the majority of his time at home on the little homestead that they had. He did what he was told by his father, taking care of goats and taking care of their little garden, while doing his best to keep his mother happy. His mother wasn't perfect but she was much better than his father, so he attached himself to her in ways that were a little unhealthy.

His mom made him take up Judo when he was young and, while he didn't care much for it, he stayed with it until he was sixteen as her enjoyment watching him train offset his own lack of enjoyment. Besides, it was time spent away from home that his father didn't disapprove of as well.

Taking an interest in hunting and fishing, that was also another excuse to get out of the house. He found himself to be relatively adept with a fishing rod and a long gun, hunting and fishing whatever was in season but always being as ethical as he could.

Yet, here he is now: 22-years-old. He has never held a proper job, aside from working his father's land, and his days are beginning to mix together as depression begins to settle in. There is so much about life, about himself, that he knows little of and it isn't like he is free to just go and discover for himself. He is stuck in this little backwater town, leashed by a man who probably deserves to be in jail, and he guesses he'll just die here. Even if something were to happen to his father, what can he do? His mother is too attached to the son of a bitch so she'd never leave the place and he is just plainly too ignorant to make it on his own.

He'll survive, right?

It won't be too hard.
